Dr. Jennifer Freeman is the Veterinarian for Services at PetSmart where she consults on pet safety issues provided by PetSmart’s Salon, PetsHotel, Doggie Day Camp, and Training. She acts as the medical liaison between PetSmart and Banfield.
Dr. Freeman is also PetSmart’s resident dog and cat expert who helps to advise and make recommendations for the Consumables and Marketing departments.
She serves as Project Director for the Independent Veterinary Operator Project and Shot Clinics Project.
Prior to joining PetSmart, Dr. Freeman was in private practice for more than 18 years.
After finishing veterinary school where she served as the Iams Student Representative, she completed an intensive yearlong internship. Dr. Freeman then opened her own veterinary practice in Arizona with her DVM husband after many years as an associate veterinarian.
She sold her first practice to the National Veterinary Associates (NVA), and remained there as the DVM Co-Manager and Hospital Manager for NVA.
Currently, she and her husband own and operate a new veterinary hospital in Mesa, Arizona. Her professional interests include clinical nutrition, internal medicine, dermatology, and practice management.
