Patty McCormick has been working in Quality Assurance and Food Safety for the past 34 years.

 

She began her career with Frito-Lay, Inc. overseeing their corporate microbiology laboratory. She then worked with Taco Bell, Corp. where she spent 14 years leading Product Optimization, New Product Commercialization, Supplier QA, and Food Safety Compliance.

 

Patty also worked for 15 years as a food industry consultant providing quality assurance, food safety and regulatory assistance, formulation development, and vendor assessment services. 

 

In 2016 Patty joined PetSmart as the Manager of Product Integrity of Proprietary Brands Consumables, where she manages the development and execution of PetSmart’s Consumables Private Label Product Integrity program.

 

She is the Director of Regulatory Compliance, and leads AAFCO and FDA ingredient and nutritional requirements and oversees Petsmart’s Consumables Product Recall program.  Patty is also a PCQI (Process Controls Qualified Individual) in Hazard Analysis and Risk-based Process Controls (HARPC).
